Van 7 november t/m 15 november 2009 heb ik samen met Hemme Batjes een plezierige week doorgebracht op Fuerteventura een eiland behorende bij de Canarische eilanden. Ons belangrijkste doel was de het vinden van de Canarische roodborsttapuit - Canary islands chat - Saxicola dacotiae, de Westelijke Kraagtrap - Houbara Bustard - Chlamydotis undulata, de Fuerteventurapimpelmees - Fuerteventura blue tit - Parus degener en de Renvogel - Cream-colored Courser - Cursorius cursor.
